5 Days Uganda Safari Expedition Murchison Falls National Park

The 5 days Uganda safaris initiate in Kampala Murchison fall National Park and back to Kampala, this includes driving to Murchison fall National Park where visitors will enjoy beautiful futures along the way, a game drive at Murchison falls and travelers can bump into different animal species such as lion kingdom, impalas, elephants, buffalos and others. Day-by-Day Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival with overnight in Entebbe / Kampala.

Meet and greet our staff members at the airport transfer to hotel for dinner and overnight, estimated transfer 40minutes to 1hour.

Day 2: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park – Ziwa Rhino sanctuary

Pickup from your hotel after breakfast, we shall make a stop at the Ziwa Rhino sanctuary, where you will have a nature walk and Rhino tracking in the breeding home of the rhinos to encounter these endangered species. The Rhino sanctuary was opened to protect the White Rhino populations found in Uganda.

You will then proceed with your journey and have a stopover for Lunch at Kabalega Dinners or within Masindi Town at Masindi Hotel or Court View Hotel.

After lunch, you will then head to the park and clear for entrance. After here, you will now be in the southern part of the park where you will spot quiet a number of animals alongside the road, such as Baboons, monkeys, warthogs and other species. You will then head to the Top of the falls where you will marvel at the breath taking beauty of the mighty Nile River forced into a seven-meter crevice to thunder 43meter’s below in a series of cascades. The sight of the Nile River, the world’s longest river, winding its way through the park and plunging through a narrow gap is unforgettable.  You will then head to your booked overnight accommodation and have a rest.

Day 3: Morning game drive – After noon Launch Boat cruise

After an early morning breakfast at around 6:00am, embark on a game drive on the northern banks of River Nile. Early 4 hours’ game drive is a better time for great sighting for all animals before they return to their hideouts.

You will explore the northern part of the game park and have a spectacular view of the different species of animals in this region including the Africa’s big 5 such as Elephants, Lions, Buffalos, Leopards, Hippos. Others include Giraffes, antelopes, Jackals, hyenas, Uganda Kob, waterbucks, Jacksons Hartebeests, Wildebeests, and many other.

At around 11:00am, you will return to your accommodation for a quick relaxation and then have your lunch as you prepare to have an afternoon boat cruise on the Nile River. This cruise is spectacular as it takes you to the foot of the mighty Murchison falls offering great photographic opportunities of the marvel nature, get up close to the aquatic animals such as; the hippos, crocodiles, waterbucks, buffalos, elephants etc. Among the birds commonly cited on the boat cruise include the goliath heron, king fisher, weaverbirds, bee-eater, cattle egrets and the beautiful scenery along the banks.

Day 4: Early morning Game Drive – Community walks and Cultural experiences

After an early morning breakfast at around 7:00am, and prepare for another morning game drive in the open Savannah grasslands. On this drive, you will have a second chance to view once more the big 5 and some of the animals that you might have missed the previous day. So be ready and on standby with your cameras. After your drive, we shall head back to your accommodation, sign out, head to the Boomu women’s Group right outside the park is a worthy visit for someone who wants to engage with the local community. Take the scenic village tour as you learn about the resident’s everyday lives, farming, visit the black smith, demonstration of basket weaving, cooking and visit to a local school.

Day 5: Budongo chimpanzee trek – Transfer to Kampala

After an early morning breakfast at around 7:00am, embark on the journey to Budongo forest for half a day primate walk in search of the Chimpanzees or other various species of primates that inhabit this forest like the Black and white Colobus Monkey, Red tailed Monkey, Baboon, and Grey Cheeked Manga bay. Here you will have a chance of seeing more birds that inhabit in the forest that you might have missed the previous day.

After your trek, we shall exit and take a quick lunch break and begin the journey back to Kampala arriving in the evening.
